A Distributed Small Farm & Eco-Tourism Institute
Restoring Land · Culture · Human Connection to Nature
Return to nature. Connect with your food and water. Heal yourself. Heal the planet.
“Know your farmer. Know your food. Know your community. Know your Self.”-Sun · Soil · Spirit Founding Principle
What We Are
Immersive farm-to-table stays, retreats, and gatherings on pristine regenerative land.
Direct experience of real food -grown in living soil, harvested in season, tasted fresh.
Local farms close to communities -zero large-scale distribution, zero packaging, zero compromise.
Traditional ecological knowledge integrated with aquaponic greenhouse design and nanobubble water systems.
The Problem We Are Solving
Industrial agriculture ships food thousands of miles in plastic, stripped of nutrients, dependent on synthetic inputs that kill the soil it grows in.
Generations of ecological wisdom -seed saving, soil tending, wild plant medicine -systematically erased by marketing, technology, and monoculture.
Urbanization and digital distraction have severed the bonds between neighbors, between people and land, between humans and their food source.
Industrial agriculture accounts for one-third of global emissions. Living topsoil is being destroyed faster than it can regenerate. The UN calls it a crisis.
Cold climates force dependence on industrial supply chains. Local food systems collapse in winter without controlled-environment production solutions.
Commercially grown food contains a fraction of the minerals and vitamins it did 50 years ago. We are overfed and deeply undernourished.
“Teach a man to farm and he will be free. Farming is Freedom.
The UN stated in 2010: the only path to ending world hunger runs through local food systems. This benefits every class, every culture, every human on earth. Sun Soil Spirit is built on this principle -ancient wisdom and modern science, one small farm at a time.
Programs & Revenue Activities
Seven interconnected program areas -rooted in ancient land practices, extended by modern food production technology.

Full Prospectus
Everything above is the overview. Below is the full depth -the philosophy behind every decision, the detail behind every program, the science behind the technology, and the complete picture of what Sun Soil Spirit is building and why.
Mission & Philosophy
Sun Soil Spirit exists to regenerate the relationship between people and nature through farm-to-table experiences, learning programs, and community engagement. Each property is rooted in the human experience with deep connection to nature, food, water, biodiversity, soil health, and soul nourishment. Our locations are not just venues. They are the experience and the teacher.
Sun Soil Spirit supports global awakening through connection to Spirit, Food, and Ancient Knowledge that has been lost in our society under the ever-expanding influence of marketing, technology, capitalism, industrial agriculture -causing a further disconnect from our own human self. Our connection to the land which gives food, which gives life, has been genetically modified, hidden, stolen, and wrapped in plastic.
We evolved to participate and be a part of a balanced ecosystem, thriving with all we need given freely from the land. We are the alternative to today’s busy disconnected existence. We are the combination of ancient and modern -the evolution of sustainable food, small scale.
“Return to nature and connect with your food and water. Heal yourself, heal the planet. We are the alternative to today’s busy disconnected existence.”
-Mission StatementTeach a man to farm and he will be free. Farming is Freedom.
Integration and evolution -not commodification and capitalization -is our path forward.
The Three Pillars
Each word in our name is a distinct philosophy, a living system, and a practice. Together they describe a complete way of relating to the world that modern life has systematically dismantled.
Every calorie of food energy traces back to photosynthesis -to living plants converting sunlight into nourishment. Sun Soil Spirit sites are oriented around solar cycles. We plant, harvest, gather, and celebrate in alignment with the sun's movement. This is not romanticism. It is biological literacy.
A single teaspoon of healthy living soil contains more microorganisms than there are people on Earth. Industrial agriculture has declared war on it. We have lost over 50% of topsoil in 150 years of industrial farming. Sun Soil Spirit treats soil health as the central metric of everything -food quality begins underground.
Spirit, as we use the word, is non-dogmatic: it is the quality of being fully present to your own life. The epidemic of anxiety and purposelessness in modern society is an ecological problem. We evolved in intimate relationship with land, plants, seasons, and community. Immersion in pristine nature is not recreation. It is medicine.
Core Values
Not marketing values. Operational commitments that govern every decision about land, guests, money, and growth.
Every decision is evaluated through the lens of soil health. Does this practice build microbial diversity? Healthy soil is our most important product -the food, the beauty, and the healing all flow from it.
Communities that can feed themselves are resilient. Every CSA subscription, every farm apprenticeship, every seed saved is a small act of sovereignty against systems designed to make us dependent.
Ecological restoration and spiritual restoration are the same project. When we heal the land we heal ourselves. When we heal ourselves, we treat the land with reverence.
Every person who arrives is received as a guest deserving of the best we have -real food, clean water, honest beauty, and genuine welcome. Being truly nourished is one of the most healing experiences available.
Carved wood, hand-tended gardens, thoughtfully placed fire circles -these are not decorative additions. They are the infrastructure of an experience that changes how a person feels about their life.
Our land practices are designed to leave every property more alive than we found it. Our guest experiences send people home more capable of living well -not more dependent on us.
Vision & The Disconnect
The average person has no relationship with the person who grew their food. They have no idea what season their vegetables grow in, what soil conditions produce superior nutrition, or what it feels like to eat a tomato picked minutes ago versus one picked six days ago and shipped two thousand miles. This is not personal failure. It is the consequence of a food system engineered for profit at the expense of nutrition, community, and ecological health.
The consequences are measurable: rising rates of chronic disease, microbiome depletion, mental health crises, community fragmentation, and topsoil loss. These are not separate problems. They are the same problem -the problem of disconnection -wearing different masks.
Sun Soil Spirit is not offering escape. We are offering re-entry -into a relationship with food, land, water, and community that is as ancient as humanity and as urgent as tomorrow. When a family spends a week at the Red Fox Ranch and watches their children pull carrots from the earth for the first time -tasting something alive, soil-sweet, and real -something shifts that cannot be undone.
We do not need to convince people that this matters. The body knows. The longing is already there. Our job is to create the conditions in which reconnection happens naturally -through direct experience, beautiful land, extraordinary food, and the permission to slow down.

Our Approach
All Programs -Full Detail
Sun Soil Spirit is not a single product. It is a living network of programs, stays, education, events, and food systems -each designed to deepen the relationship between people and the land.
Each property runs a market garden producing vegetables, herbs, and edible flowers in alignment with the local growing season. CSA shares connect nearby households with a weekly harvest basket -food delivered within hours of picking. No packaging beyond necessity.
We measure success by the quality of the soil food web, not yield per acre. Annual soil testing, cover cropping, compost production, and no-till practices are standard across all properties. We are building topsoil, not depleting it.
Each property cultivates medicinal herbs, adaptogens, and native plant medicines -processed into tinctures, teas, and salves sold through our farm stores. A high-margin revenue stream that grows with the land.
Sun Soil Spirit maintains seed libraries at each location, preserving heirloom and landrace varieties. Every apprenticeship program includes seed saving as a core skill. Control of seed is control of food sovereignty.
Guided farm walks, hands-on harvesting, farm-to-table lunch, and open land access. Gateway experiences designed to be so undeniably nourishing that guests return -and bring others.
From primitive tent camping in carefully selected wilderness sites to fully appointed glamping setups with locally made furnishings and wood stoves. Beautifully facilitated wildness -not resort camping.
Hand-built or restored cabins designed to feel like they belong to the land. Guests wake to the view their cabin was positioned to frame. All stays include farm programming, farm-to-table meals, and full landscape access.
Multi-day custom retreats co-designed with each group -deep rest, active land stewardship, culinary immersion, ceremony, or creative gathering. An arc of experience designed to produce lasting change, not just memorable vacation.
Multi-week intensives covering the soil food web, composting, no-till cropping, cover crop design, water management, and the ecology of pest and disease -approached as symptoms of system imbalance, not problems to be chemically solved.
Seed saving, food preservation, fermentation, traditional plant medicine, water harvesting, natural building -the accumulated wisdom of thousands of years, taught in direct relationship with the plants and soils that make it real.
Design and operation of closed-loop aquaponic systems, nanobubble water technology, and controlled-environment food production -the modern tools that extend what living soil makes possible.
Programming that begins in the soil and ends at the table. Cook seasonally, honor the full vegetable, ferment and preserve. A complete re-orientation to food guided by Haller Magee.
The Red Fox Ranch becomes a music venue under the Big Sky each summer. Artists are selected for alignment with the values of the land and community. Attendees arrive as guests of the ranch -the concert is part of a larger experience including farm dinners and overnight stays.
At the solstices, equinoxes, and natural calendar points -non-dogmatic, non-denominational gatherings rooted in reverence for the land. The ceremony is the gathering itself: around fire, around food, around the acknowledgment that we are alive.
Extraordinary settings for weddings, anniversaries, and family reunions. We handle event design, catering from the farm, and lodging for guests -an experience that reflects the values of the family, not a generic event package.
Extended time at Peace Mountain in California for artists, writers, and filmmakers to work without distraction -wilderness, farm-grown meals, land access. Residents contribute work to the Sun Soil Spirit archive.
Closed-loop ecosystems where fish produce waste that feeds plants, plants filter water for fish -producing protein and vegetables year-round with 90% less water than conventional farming, zero synthetic fertilizer, and no runoff. Our greenhouses are architecturally integrated with each property and open for guest walk-throughs.
Nanobubbles (50–200nm) saturate water with dissolved oxygen at concentrations traditional aeration cannot match -achieving 85–90% oxygen transfer efficiency vs. 3% for conventional aerators. Research shows 35% lettuce yield increases and 52% fish growth rate improvements. When nanobubbles collapse, they release hydroxyl radicals that suppress pathogens chemically-free.
Montana: full aquaponic greenhouse + nanobubble-enhanced market garden irrigation. California: solar-powered aquaponics + artesian spring water oxygenation. Pennsylvania: year-round CSA greenhouse + full nanobubble outdoor irrigation system. Each designed for its land and climate.
We design and build these systems for others -site assessment, species selection, greenhouse design, nanobubble water integration, CSA logistics, and operational training. From hobby scale to serious commercial production.
We evaluate land for regenerative potential -soil, water, climate, and community context -and develop a phased master plan for farm infrastructure, accommodation, education facilities, and event capacity. Every plan is built around what the land itself wants to become.
From irrigation and composting infrastructure to CSA logistics and farm store operations -we help new operations build the systems that make a regenerative farm economically viable from day one.
Sun Soil Spirit is explicitly designed to be replicated. Our Year 4–5 roadmap includes partnering with aligned landowners nationally to build an affiliated network -each independently owned, each meeting our standards for soil health, hospitality, and educational programming.
Agritourism and small farm operations face complex regulatory landscapes across every state. Our team has navigated this in four states and can guide new operations efficiently -without costly missteps.
Technology Deep Dive -Aquaponics
Fish. Plants. Water. Repeat. Year-round. Zero synthetic inputs.
An aquaponic system is a closed-loop ecosystem: fish produce waste rich in ammonia, beneficial bacteria convert that ammonia to nitrates, and those nitrates feed the plants. The plants filter and clean the water, which returns to the fish. The system uses 90% less water than conventional farming, produces no runoff, requires no synthetic fertilizer, and can operate in any climate inside a properly designed greenhouse. We design each greenhouse to be architecturally integrated with its property -a living, productive structure that guests can walk through, learn in, and eat from.
Technology Deep Dive -Nanobubbles
Oxygenated at the molecular level. Proven. Peer-reviewed. Measurable.
Nanobubbles are gas-filled cavities 50–200 nanometers in diameter -500 times smaller than a grain of salt, invisible to the naked eye, and stable in water for months before collapse. Unlike conventional aeration bubbles that rise to the surface and escape before transferring more than 3% of their oxygen, nanobubbles remain suspended throughout the water column, continuously releasing dissolved oxygen exactly where roots, fish, and bacteria need it most.
Nanobubble generators achieve oxygen transfer efficiency of 85–90% by keeping bubbles suspended in the water column -nearly 30× more effective per unit of oxygen than conventional aerators. When nanobubbles collapse, they release hydroxyl radicals that naturally suppress pathogens and biofilm. Chemical-free water cleaning.
Nanobubble-enriched irrigation water reduces surface tension, penetrating clay-heavy and compacted soils more deeply. Higher oxygen in the root zone stimulates beneficial microbial activity. Research shows 20% compaction reduction, improved nutrient mobility, and reduced fertilizer demand by up to 25% while maintaining equivalent yield.
Dissolved oxygen is the single most critical variable in aquaculture. Nanobubble oxygenation stabilizes DO throughout the water column -improving feed conversion, reducing stress, accelerating nitrification, and increasing fish growth rates measurably without any chemical intervention.
Location Deep Dives
Sun Soil Spirit builds permanent, low-labor, land-based institutions anchored to rare wilderness access and working agricultural land. Each site receives a custom-designed integrated food system matched to its climate, water source, and community.
Just north of Yellowstone in dramatic Big Sky Country, the Red Fox Ranch is a fully restored 1800s historic homestead serving as Sun Soil Spirit's flagship headquarters. Home to our largest aquaponic greenhouse, nanobubble-enhanced market garden, and the living soil farm that anchors everything we teach.
80 acres one hour deep into the heart of the Mendocino National Forest at the base of National Monument Snow Mountain. The most radical offering in the network -dedicated to deep nature immersion and the kind of solitude that modern life has made almost impossible. Extraordinary food produced completely off-grid.
Wooded forestland in the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains offering the intimate ecology of the Appalachians -old-growth hardwood forest, native medicinal plants, rivers, and the particular green quiet of the eastern mountains.
Pennsylvania is the network's community farm anchor - a traditional market garden and CSA operation rooted in relationship with nearby households, restaurants, and institutions. Where other properties prioritize wilderness, Pennsylvania prioritizes food production, community, and accessibility.
Financial Philosophy
Our financial model is built on the same principles as our land practices: build slowly, build well, leave everything more alive than you found it. We are not seeking growth for its own sake -we are seeking the minimum scale needed to be economically self-sustaining while fulfilling our mission.
Every financial decision is evaluated against the question: does this serve the land, the community, and the long-term vision -or does it compromise them? We are not looking for investors who want a return on capital in the conventional sense. We are looking for stewards.
The most valuable investments of the next generation are in land, soil, food, and community. The return is real -financially, ecologically, and in the legacy you leave.
Why CSA is 55% of Revenue
CSA subscriptions are the financial backbone of every Sun Soil Spirit location. They are predictable, pre-paid, community-building, and grow with the farm. When combined with aquaponic greenhouse production extending the season year-round, the CSA model becomes the stable base that makes all other programs possible.
Path to Break-Even
24-month break-even is achievable because all four properties are coming online simultaneously. The aquaponic greenhouses accelerate this timeline by enabling year-round production from day one -no seasonal revenue gaps, no winter dead period.
Land is secured. The $1,455,000 Series A round is entirely for infrastructure -greenhouses, nanobubble systems, lodging, and operational systems.
